Admission Procedure

JEXPO

After fill up the Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnic (JEXPO) form, students have to appear for the corresponding entrance examination arranged by West Bengal State Council of Technical Education. After publishing of result, the appeared students will get a rank card and enrolment number for counseling at WBSCTE to choose their preferable college for take admission under JEXPO Quota. JEXPO form is also available at the Institute during proper time of distribution.

Internet facilitation counter is available here to assists the students who have JEXPO rank for the current year during their e- filling of desired institute and courses as per their demands against a minute fee.

Eligibility Criterion for JEXPO aspirants:

  1. Citizenship: Must be an Indian citizen
  2. Qualification: Candidates must have passed or appeared in the secondary (Madhyamik) examination of WBBSE or equivalent with English, Physical Science/Science and Mathematics among others as subject securing at least 35% marks (no rounding up) in aggregate excluding the marks of the subject taken as additional
  • Age: Should not be born after 01.07.2005 for the entrance JEXPO 2020 and there is no upper age limit

Eligibility Criterion for VOCLET aspirants:

  1. Citizenship: Must be an Indian citizen
  2. Qualification: Must have passed or appeared in the (10 + 2) examination of the WBSCT&VE&SD (Vocational Education Division) or having passed two years ITI after Madhyamik or equivalent examination passed. Appeared ITI candidates are not eligible for VOCLET 2020 (ITI trades must be of continuous two years duration and a single certificate should mention that candidates having passed vocational course from Council/Board other than WBSCTE&VE&SD)
  • Age: There is no age limit

 

Eligibility Criterion for 1st year admission through Management Quota for academic Session 2020-21

 

  1. Citizenship: Must be an Indian citizen
  2. Qualification: Candidates must have passed or appeared in the secondary (Madhyamik) examination of WBBSE or equivalent with English, Physical Science/Science and Mathematics among others as subject securing at least 35% marks (no rounding up) in aggregate excluding the marks of the subject taken as additional and 45% marks (without rounding up) in Physical Science/Science and Mathematics taken together or any candidate belonging to the merit list.
  3. Age: Should not be born after 01.07.2005 for the entrance JEXPO 2020 and there is no upper age limit

 

Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFW):

The Technical Education and Training Department Govt. of West Bengal shall implement the tuition fee waiver scheme (TFW) for AICTE approved Govt. and Govt. Sponsored polytechnics as well as non-aided self-financed polytechnics of the State of West Bengal for academic session 2020-21 for the economically backward meritorious students of the state.

Eligibility:

Students who have been merit listed for admission to first year diploma courses during 2020-21 and whose annual family income from all sources in the preceding financial year that is 2019-20 is less than Rs. 2.50 lakhs only and who are domicile in West Bengal are eligible for availing TFW scheme.
