HOD’s Message :

Computer technology has become an integral part of our daily life. It is the most important element in the education of students of the present and the future era. Computer Technology has revolutionized society to a great extent. Technological advancements are so rapid in this field that continual learning is essential to keep the skill set of students up to date. The teaching and learning process emphasizes equally on theoretical and practical aspects catering to the needs of industries

As the saying goes, “The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery”. Proving this, the department has a very good team of highly qualified and talented faculty members who play a vital role in producing not only quality engineers but also quality character. We encourage the students for life time learning as appropriately.

The department organizes various workshops, to gain knowledge about the latest trends in technology. The department has the complete freedom in designing the curriculum based on current technological trends. Also, the department strives hard in improving the communication skills, technical and analytical skills of our students through various programs, so that they could compete in the global front. We focus on bridging the gap between campus education and Projects. It aims to provide intelligent solutions for computational and data driven intensive applications in the distributed environment.

The vision of the department is to become the “Centre of Excellence” in technical education and also to create computing professionals, and entrepreneurs, with high technical competency and communication skills by setting high standards in academic excellence and meeting the future needs of the society.

MISSION OF COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT

To comprehend the fundamental concepts in Computer Science and Engineering and apply the interaction between theory and practice for problem solving
Provide motivated faculty and state of the art facilities for education, both in foundational aspects and emerging computing trends.
Develop knowledgeable, industry-ready students with pertinent competencies such as problem solving, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Inculcate responsibility through sharing of knowledge and innovative computing solutions that benefit the society-at-large.
Engage in collaborative research with academia and industry for seamless transfer of knowledge resulting in patents, products and commercialization.
To use mathematical, algorithmic, and theoretical foundations in the study of computing systems and also to analyze problem requirements and develop appropriate solutions.
